12 years ago a friend introduced me to the very cool world of trapeze. Yes, that’s me. Yes, it was empowering. Yes, I felt like a badass. Highly recommend. 💪🏻

As I watch the Olympics, I feel for athletes competing while injured + enduring intense pressure. I wasn’t an Olympic athlete but my days as a swimmer were filled with injuries + pressure.

Just finished a fun episode with a podcaster I love listening to. I never thought I’d ever say I enjoy recording podcasts about my memoir/divorce/military life/writing life, but friends, it’s been a blast chatting about it all with podcasters.

Fun fact: I had to audition to narrate my audiobook! And yes, I got the job.

Heading into the last weekend of my 8th consecutive Dry January. My chronic headaches and sleep quality remained as bad as ever. And while I've lost a few pounds, I'm pretty sure it's most likely due to the disappearance of holiday cookies. But hey I saved some money so there's that.
