Disabled People are the Canaries in the Coal Mine When it comes to natural disasters, pandemics, or disruptions to "normal" life, disabled people are proverbial canaries. We get hit harder and faster than others. Why aren't we factored into plans?

I keep seeing discussions of federal DEI cuts that leave out the fact they’re also cutting employees from the Accessibility departments.

As I’ve said multiple times, disabled people are the canaries in the coal mine. We should be listened to & incorporated into plans for the good of all people
