"students engaged in language learning exhibited an approximately threefold increased likelihood of attaining a passing grade (or achieving higher results in standardised tests) than their peers, who were not involved in language lessons" -- which is not as impressive as performing 3x better

Als het kabinet wil bezuinigen op hoger onderwijs, is er een logische plek om te beginnen: open access, betogen Wim Pouw en Bert Bakker.
We wrote an opinion piece in Dutch that we should divest in for-profit publishing. Instead we should invest in Diamond Open Access, such that we keep innovating in a time of budget cuts
