Rone O’Callaghan lives on a farm near Tlachtga, the ancient site on the Hill of Ward. Both teenagers are close by when a local man is murdered. The circumstances suggest the killer may be acting out some ancient ritual. The truth is even more macabre. This Halloween, as humans wander the streets wearing monster masks, there is a monster among them wearing a human mask. The most treacherous of all the ancient faerie folk . . . yes, if an area has more business investors/developers/homeowners they can advocate for more funding, most cities have worse bus service in poorer parts of town, fewer parks, worse roads etc. But if they build it in those areas than will fancy gentrifiers ruin those places?

cars are a lot more expensive to own, but somehow bicycles are a middle/upper class thing? I keep being told that, when I don't own a car so I can afford to live in the city and vice versa. I bought my bike used for like $50. Don't have any special fancy bike stuff.

are you Dutch yourself? Just a guess from the name! IIRC there's some cities in the States where denizens of abandoned buildings have gotten control of them, or the city or a nonprofit bought them & did something else, and so forth.

I think it's more that I was working on a world at one time but never came up with stories for it. But you can also use these for games (tabletop RPG or computer) in fact there's software & other stuff I've seen like Worldforge for that stuff.

I love this prompt list! I love worldbuilding probably more than actual storytelling, very Tolkien of me.

there's also tons of vacant buildings. in the Netherlands they have a law that if a building isn't used by the owners for X amount of time, it's fair game for anyone to go live in. Not sure about the retails with regards to safety etc.

Stop ceding public space to at the one end, rich people urban Disneylands & back alley people who think every park & bus is their crack den.
