Darkness threads through Suitor's new single, punctuated by quick slices of guitar that puncture the inky aura, searching for soft purchase. Picking up the reigns left by Siouxie, the band feels like they’d be easy company for newer releases from The New Eves, RVG, or Horsegirl. bit.ly/4uqCDlR

Those are good references for this band.

I've been describing this band as a slightly downgraded Strokesy Geese

So thanks to you I now have something less silly to say to people who might enjoy this record too

Word of advice for anyone who works on improving themselves and evolves beyond incel:

Never ask about past lovers; instead endeavor to demonstrate why they didn't deserve her.

BTW @listeninghabit.bsky.social Colemine says they are prepping their THIRD pressing of Entrance Music, which seems like an incredible and well deserved flex for an album that came out 12 months ago

I hear you. It sucks needing to drive to the next big city for a concert but sometimes it's a necessity because it seems like 1/2 of the tours skip cities like PGH & CLE

Death Cab will be in Cleveland in July but I'm leaning toward not going. I saw them thrice in their prime when I lived in Cali πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

The Beths and Spoon (co-headlining) - June 23 Philly, June 27 Cleveland, June 28 Columbus

Broken Social Scene & Metric - July 28 Philly

I will try to remember to ping you if I see a tour announcement with a Pittsburgh stop

27.02.2026 01:06 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

We can't allow that!

If I lived in Pgh, here are some concerts I'd consider. I think you said before Pgh to Philly is a doable drive...

Voxtrot (new music tonight btw!) - April 8 Philly
Billie Marten - April 15 Columbus, April 18 Philly
Fcukers - April 24 Philly
Dry Cleaning - May 6 Philly

1/2...

I still think we can cyber-nudge Voxtrot into adding a Pittsburgh date, and that momentum-shifting win will usher in new era of Pittsburgh concert awesomeness 😁

Same

Conversely, if you go to downtown Cleveland on a weekend, and there isnt a sports game or a major concert, it's almost a ghost town.

I also have a soft spot for all rust belt cities

I'm being 100% earnest

Pgh is seems to be doing a lot of things right that similar cities are not. I was last there 10 years ago on a Saturday trip to see a Belle & Sebastian / Yo La Tengo concert at some outdoor venue.

The streets were packed (complimentary), and iirc there were DORAs. V cool
