Another roadtrip food post. Who has tried a Runza? Going thru Nebraska yesterday and tucked into this delicious ground meat, cabbage and cheese sandwich. The bun is baked perfectly. Similar to the ground steak from my home town’s (Mt. Airy, NC) Dairy Center.

We are on a roadtrip to visit @faineg.bsky.social. Found a gem of a restaurant called River & Woods in Boulder, CO.
Can highly recommend! Book at the bar. We had Duck Wings, Trout, Chicken and mousse. Wines were excellent. Maddie and Rob took great care of us and shared great wine info!

Indirect on a gas grill. Ran the grill about 300 till internal temp was 115-120. Then seared it off on the hot side. Key is letting it rest covered 20 mins before cutting.

Ok, back in the states with access to a good grill. First attempt in this location at a reverse sear 1.75” Porterhouse. Not bad results.

That might be fun! Could name it the “Butt Truck”, but that might get the vice squad’s negative attention.

You covered the grilling basics quite well especially recommending a chimney. I'll add that the best starter grill for the $ and versatility is a Weber Kettle. Easy to graduate from grilling steaks to smoking ribs and shoulders on a kettle.
