I remember reading that part of putting a CONCAF game at Allianz in February was to put the rest of the league on notice of what could happen to them. Love that the plan is making the rest of the league suffer like Honduras had to. Still not sure I'm showing up in person for those punishment games.

Yeah, I think it sells for special events (WCQ, big playoff game, etc…) but if it’s 12F for a regular season MLS game against the Colorado Rapids I think a LOT of people stay home. And I won’t blame them.

I keep thinking that negative degree game where the USA played a qualifier here… was n February. No way you’d fill that stadium like we do now.

I am not a great ref. I like to coach too much. But every time I get really worked up as a coach or spectator, I feel like I have to go out and ref a few youth matches as penance. Because it's a tough job. This guy makes me feel better both about what I can be annoyed at, and at letting it go. Thx.
