A purple helmet dotted with lots of small sensors and wires.
We officially launched our new Magnetoencephalography with Optically Pumped Magnetometers (OPM-MEG) brain scanner last week with a special open day.
OPM-MEG measures tiny magnetic fields generated by the activity of neurons in the brain.
Excited for the OPM-MEG Oxford Launch Day today! @cercamagnetics.bsky.social @oxfordpsychiatry.bsky.social Some exciting talks and an interactive lab demo awaits!! π§ π§²

Last paper from my PhD finally published! We show that when taking another's visual perspective autistic adolescents don't use a social, embodied transformation π§π strategy but favour a bottom-up visual π strategy instead.

OK here it is, the moment you have all been waiting for! Our advert for 5 posts here at Glasgow: Cognitive neuroscience/psychology. Closing date May 12 - please spread the word

Excited to share our latest story! We found disentangled memory representations in the hippocampus that generalized across time and environments, despite the seemingly random drift and remapping of single cells. This code enabled the transfer of prior knowledge to solve new tasks

We have an opening for a 12 month Research Assistant post, funded by an ERC grant. The postholder would help with several neuroimaging projects, including MEG and 7T fMRI. Please repost and share with anyone who may be interested. www.ucl.ac.uk/work-at-ucl/... #neuroskyence #Neuroimaging

It is with profound sadness that we share the devastating news that Eleanor Maguire passed away on January 4th. She was a phenomenally brilliant neuroscientist, with immense passion for her work and many remarkable accomplishments. We will miss her terribly.

I was lucky enough to be part of Eleanor's lab 2020-2024. Eleanor possessed a towering work ethic, immense clarity of thought and always had a witty turn of phrase. She truly cared about the members of her lab and I will be forever grateful for her mentorship.
