Sorry but I am on your parents' side. They and your teachers probably played some role in you having an excellent ability to communication and critical thinking skills.
Plus, it's different from when we were kids. There was no creepy option to outsource all of our thinking and relationships.

It's a Trap! Why Schedule III Could Be Worse Than Standing Still on Cannabis Reform | High Times Shaleen Title, Chelsea Higgs Wise and Cat Packer explain why Schedule III may deepen cannabis inequities.

I talked to High Times about why most everything you hear about marijuana reclassification is a scam hightimes.com/activism/its...

For the record, if you pick 1 cause - just 1 - and fight for it, I think thatโ€™s cool as hell. No part of me is gonna go โ€œwow, you picked y vs x? Clearly you donโ€™t give a shit about x.โ€ Thatโ€™s not how human energy works. You can care about many things, but you canโ€™t throw yourself at all of them.

And introducing these anthropomorphized, sycophantic, clearly-designed-for-dependency things in schools when kids most NEED to connect and hang out and be with their peers seems like the dumbest idea imaginable

I know we joked all this time about our phones ruining our attention span and Twitter breaking our brains but I really am concerned about chatgpt because the pace and ease with which people are entirely replacing their own knowledge and ability to communicate is very frightening to me

I knew it when I was sixteen, turned out the best publications out there really are The Onion, Teen Vogue, and High Times

If they are trying to find options that aren't medication, anti-histamine diet and a breathing program called Stasis are what a lot of people in this situation say they find helpful. I'm not affiliated with it. I think it's $5-10 month, they may not need to do it longer than a month www.stasis.life

I'll give it a whirl. If you get a chance, I'd love to hear which ones you're keeping. I have the opposite problem as you, right now the only tech-related publication I pay for is Tech Won't Save Us but I have room for a couple more.

Hello, I was at your show on Saturday in Malden. Did you receive my email inquiry about music lessons? If you didn't receive it and you're open to inquiries, could you share your email address or DM me? Thank you!

Can I ask your recommendation - do you think The Regulator will be good? I'm not too familiar with The Verge, but I want to stay up to date on regulation. If you know of something else that's in line with the skeptical approach you take, I might prefer that.
Also would love to know your favorites!

I have a letter to the editor in yesterday's Globe, "Protect users from the harm of chatbots" because these things are bad news

Thank you and congrats to all the advocates who have been working hard to achieve this outcome for the past few weeks.

This is a bill to concentrate both political and market power in Massachusetts cannabis and pave the way for it to become a billionaire-controlled industry. It doesn't happen because it's inevitable, it happens slowly and over time because of intentional policy choices like this bill.

Great talk! I really liked the part about organizing pre-emptive mass refusal and look forward to hearing more about that.

I just looked you up because I heard you on Hard Fork. Thanks for pointing out that there is in fact an alternative path. Can't wait to read your book and hear your talk! See you in Cambridge.

My Brain Finally Broke Much of what we see now is fake, and the reality we face is full of horrors. More and more of the world is slipping beyond my comprehension.

Thank you for being serious about minors and AI. That first segment is a really good thing for people to send their "Maybe this is all just a moral panic" skeptic friends, especially that bit about how Tik Tok is going to look quaint in comparison. So so true.

I would really enjoy reading a conversation between the two of you about the Tik Tok ban

This was a good boiling down of what the healthcare conversation should be about. Nice to see you being interviewed for a change! You got the modest half-smile for when they describe your work down pat.

I was trying to get with the times so I did a 2-hour podcast. It was easier than I thought! And it's not any special test of knowledge; doing a three-minute news segment is equally hard for the opposite reasons. What I still don't understand is why anyone in their right mind would listen to it.

I think to the average person trying to pay attention to this, there's not a huge difference between the two camps and I'm glad you introduced me to a new interesting person to follow!

That's the thing: no one is saying that should be a crime. Nor this is a ban. That's my frustration with this discussion. It's not a crime or a ban, but the discussion seems to be stuck in that irrelevant phase.
