Tip for all those game devs out there. If you have an option to control music volume (and you probably should,) don't tie the audio of cutscenes to the music volume slider. If that means there has to be music during them, people won't care as much as having no audio at all during cutscenes.

Yep. I do software and the best pieces of advice I've been given:
- don't become attached to your work
- you will thank yourself if you prioritize maintainability
- add leavers... (config options)
- don't be afraid to delete/remove
- sometimes brute force is the answer
