We have hired a company that will do about 30k worth of work to prepare it for sale. The house will go up for sale in about 3 weeks. Very mixed emotions - this house has been my sanctuary for about 15 years, but I'm ready for the next adventure.

To my mind, the problems in the world are largely due to a lack of empathy - the inability to see the world through the eyes of people whose experience differ from our own. Everyone seems so defensive and angry, closing themselves off from the opportunity to learn and grow. Easier to demonize.

My first post on Blue Sky. Summarizing all that is going on in my world:

Senika and I are actually planning to teach overseas in the coming few years. We've researched this ad nauseum and are excited.

The house needs to be sold and will go on the market soon.
