Might be a bizarre suggestion but have you ever considered contacting a fursuit maker about it? Because as people who wear rugs for fun, we've got a whole repertoire of ways to make them comfortable and cool. Fursuit maker might be able to help you out/make pink bag setup that's more comfy less pain
