Huge test for Bluesky tonight with the #LateLateToyShow. Can it step up?

I think, despite strong delivery, the focus on the big picture/leadership positioning was lost, and too often the Greens allowed themselves to be defined by others, and were strategically reactive - for eg. courting rural votes vs shoring up suburban and urban votes.
30.11.2024 14:55 β π 10 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Lots of chat about the Greens, who delivered policy is spades, being punished in #GE24 is missing a key point: the majority of Green voters are values/principles voters. It's not just about what you do, it's about how you do it, how you communicate it, and how you frame it.

An unsung hero of Irish election data is www.irelandelection.com
I don't know who maintains it but it is a great resource and it looks like they're all set to go to update the site with this years GE. All candidates information is already available for view

I have 2016 results here. I have data going back to 2007 but have not mapped it yet.
Not only are the tallies a fun resource when viewed in this way. It is also a valuable dataset for research.
Jonathan Pratschke and I used this data to investigate the mechanisms behind the Sinn FΓ©in surge in the 2020 Irish general election.

They're areas (called electoral districts) defined by ordinance survey Ireland and the CSO. They normally contain 1000-3000 households. The CSO publish statistics for each electoral district. The electoral commission uses them to construct constituencies.
