Anyway, I see you are giving a talk at Melbourne AISA on the 11th. Do you want to have a chat after your talk?

27.10.2025 21:15 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0You didn't reply to my DM from last month, so I assumed you weren't interested and was leaving a polite "out" on the table.
27.10.2025 21:10 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I've recently been added to RMIT's Industry Advisory Committee on course content and someone mentioned meeting the demand for OT cybersecurity.
Do you know anyone that would want to influence teaching in this domain?
I'm having some similar conversations regarding job ready students with my new role at RMIT. If your interested in influencing some Australian institutions whilst you're here, my DMs are open.
11.09.2025 22:53 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Without attending the talk it looks to cover similar ground to Howard Bloom's The Lucifier Principle, which is a very good early work of what would become meme theory.
09.09.2025 23:31 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0This is why Gandalf feared the Ring for himself. Frodoโs greatest strength, and what sets him apart from everyone else, is the simple goodness he shows Gollum. Itโs the only real defence against Sauron's influence within The One Ring.
26.07.2025 22:45 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Given you are just about to work F/T in Australia you are going to learn some lessons about the USA's poor understanding of international timezones.
20.03.2025 06:37 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Please do this in Blades in the Dark, or some similar system, that has proper support for hiest games. This would also support indie creators over Hasbro's fantasy game.
Otherwise, I would be in and will bring silly voices.
Pretty place, I recommend dropping into the Purple Hen Winery for a tasting.
07.03.2025 22:12 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0If you are here by Easter, the Conquest convention over the long weekend is very popular.

ooh! where's this?
I'm a big fan of Italian grape varietals.
RESIST!
30.01.2025 04:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I just visited Spain and it's the same AirBnB problem that many places face. The amount of apartments being rented out at tourist prices for a few months a year has dramatically reduced the availabilty of housing for local workers.
15.01.2025 01:29 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0An important cultural note it is hard to get anything done in Australia from Dec 15 to the end of Jan. It's summer, it's public holidays, it's the long school break. Tack an extra few weeks onto expectations of getting any bureaucratic process completed in this period.
12.01.2025 20:31 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I look forward to the establishment of The Order of the Jelly Baby.
31.12.2024 00:01 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Games Workshop was known by nerdy kids in my circles. 40k started in '87, so they were probably playing WH Fantasy.
What I was trying to illustrate is how narrow the outrage was at the time. You could do ALL the D&D things with a different system and get none of the Satanic Panic blowback.
I loved the amount of kids in that period that were forced out of playing D&D by their parents, but playing WH 40k or Shadowrun was totally fine.
30.12.2024 04:12 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Oh, will you be building up a new martial art school in Melbs or wanting to train with someone else?
I know some good people.
Will you be staying with the same company or do you need some intros?
I am intending to run an infosec open table, using old school D&D rules, next year that you would be welcome to join.
Location - Melbourne city is great for coffee and bars, but I really did love living in the Dandenong Ranges.
