Based on his history of never wanting to be the "bad guy", this looks like him avoiding a shutdown to save face, then hoping that the 2-week CR allows the heat to die down and people will forget about it while he and the centrists can cave with no real changes.

I work in the food retail industry and this happens every time we have a snow storm. This one was short notice, so most stores didn't order extra product in time to cover the increased demand. Probably gonna see more due to supply chain delays coming West->East.

2025 was a huge movie year for me. 220 new-to-me movies, 253 total watches. Saw some great new rom-coms (a genre I was never big on), great noirs, some surprisingly bad Christmas movies, and some amazing new horror films.
