The Calico Critter (Sylvanian Family) horses have fingers and toes, not hooves. So this can only mean they’re intended to be Eohippus. That’s so niche of them. 🐎

Yes it’s a mosasaur. If it’s indeed a cryptid theme my guess is it’s supposed to be one of the many generic lake/sea monsters.

Japan is crazy. Yes this is a gashspon of all griffins in the train station. Not different mythical creatures one of which is a griffin. ALL. GRIFFINS. I had exactly enough coins left and there was literally one capsule left. Got the green one, which is the one I wanted most. It was a good day.

I know this is gonna sound smug but as fun as it is, in light of the recent publication of Mirasaura, I don’t like referring to Triassic animals as “weird”. They were around for millions of years and are way more standard compared to most vertebrates than humans.
