Just spent an amazing week at @ubisoft.com in Montreal learning a bunch of stuff on video game music and the wonderful opportunities of non-linear music !! It was a really enriching experience that I’ll remember a long time 👾🎶💙

I know it’s been done and redone but I just couldn’t pass on making some combat music in the style of Mick Gordon’s DOOM soundtrack 🤘

20th century classical is so good ! There are so many styles and techniques and every composers sounds really distinct from one another !

Here’s a track I composed in the style of the bygone era of NES 8bit chiptunes. The project never ended up releasing but it was still a nice challenge to compose using only three voices. My counterpoint classes came in handy !

The toughest lesson I've had to learn in my fledgling career is that the media composer isn't *really* paid to write music—we're paid to deliver professional-grade audio.

Realizing that has changed a lot about what I focus on improving. Sounding great is about a lot more than 'just' the music!
