He spoke in yesterday's presser that he was taking more of a hands-off approach and tested the guys to see if they could get it together on their own. That'll change in real games, but your point is still valid.

UM's numbers:

UM went +11 on the glass, dished 29, and stole 10.
UM shot 64% from 2, but 32% from 3 (7-22), and 57% from the stripe.

Bit of a surprise to see Tyriek Weeks there for RIC. Tyrone's son and TJ's younger brother had been at Rider for a couple years. Today: 14 & 5 in 28 minutes.

UM lights the lamp with a 109-78 win over D-III's Rhode Island College.
You'd like to see a little more D, but it's exhibition. RIC turned it over 20 times and still scored 78, as they went bombs away from 3 with 37 attempts, hitting 15.

UM admins watched UConn go thru their upgrade. The Huskies ultimately got a prime time New Year's Day bowl game (2011 Fiesta), and UM got the why not us mentality. Just 4 months later, UM announced they'd go FBS, and have royally F'd things up ever since, 26-129 (.168)

On the women's side, UM was picked to finish 3rd in the standings, and got three votes to win the tournament championship.
