Over 100 tomatoes, and I only have room for 40. My friends are getting tomato seedlings for birthday presents, and tomato sauce for the winter holidays.

Three types of peppers, two types of celery, some artichokes and miscellaneous other stuff.

My seedlings back in the garage to wait out the storms -- that don't seem to be coming.

This is way, way too many tomatoes. Plus three kinds of peppers, two kinds of celery, and a few artichokes.

The third picture is them moved in to the garage assuming stormy weather that doesn't seem to be materializing.

Tomato seedlings hardening off.

82 tomatoes seedlings potted up and hardening to be planted Mothers Day weekend. Roma, Early Girl, Rutgers, and Brandywine. Thing is, I only have room for 50 of these guys, and maybe not that many.

So come the 17th I'll have a few to trade or give away.

Snap peas on the ends of the tomato beds. They'll be done producing when the tomatoes start to go nuts (I hope, since this is a new companion planting for me).

The lettuce on the edges is coming up nice, the carrots are considering their options, and the onions are still alive so that's nice. I've never done onions from seed before, so ... I dunno what to expect!

Bush beans going nuts 10 days in. Hoping to start getting some in three or four weeks.

CHAOS! A 4x4 bed of all the seeds I spilled in the drawer where I keep my seed packets. Gardening should be fun!

My snap peas are (almost) all staked and stringed, the bush beans are coming up aces, the lettuce in the onion bed are sprouting (carrots a tiny bit), and the 4x4 chaos garden of spilled seeds is ... chaotic. 🤣 #gardening

These potatoes have been growing in these bags since Jan 20, so 95 days or so. I brought them up Fri. I am really itching to dump one out, but know it's too early since the leaves aren't totally dead.

24 potted up Early Jersey cabbage planted in February, potted in mid march. I planted 18 of them today.

They've only been in the pots (from soil squares) a few weeks and really rooted out.

These cabbage should be harvested towards the middle to end of June, right at the time that the winter squash start to spread out. Seems like a good shot at succession planting.

So there are going to be 18 cabbage (if they all head up) in June, and then I'm going to have to figure out how to make stuff I can store besides sauerkraut.

I planted 12 asparagus crowns, 20 strawberry crowns (10 June bearing with the asparagus, 10 everbearing with onions), a bunch of onions, and 18 cabbage (a few are left). The asparagus and strawberries were bought as crowns, the rest are from seed.

Any cabbage recipes to share?

It always looks more like a garden when the fence is up.

I may use the paw holes to plant in!

I found them on Amazon at about $70 for two of them. They're 8x4 x 1 foot high and do the job for just about anything a backyard gardener needs ... as long as bending is not an issue. At 57 I expect in a few years it might be for me. :-)

I'm expanding my 10 bed garden with 15 new 8x4 beds, three 2 foot high and the rest 1 foot. It took three weeks to collect all the branches from the woods, half fill the beds with wood chips, and put 13 yards of soil in the new beds, but we're ready to go! #vegetablegardening #gardenstate

If you're looking for 8x4 one foot high metal garden beds they are REALLY cheap on Amazon right now -- $33 each. I have these in my back yard and am actually filling them with dirt today. (I don't get a commission)

This store bought tomato seems to want to be a tomato plant. So I'm just letting it sit on the windowsill and watching.

I figure I'll plant the whole thing in a bag just for fun to see what happens.

A dozen new 8x4 beds assembled and ready for some sticks, mulch, grass and leaves, dirt, manure, etc. I have the layout, designed the irrigation system, and am ready to triple the size of my garden this year.

This grocery store tomato sprouted while on our windowsill, and I've been waiting about three weeks for it to break the skin. It finally did!

Thinking about putting it in a planter whole and seeing what happens.
