he was 𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆. on mobius once more. placing gloved palm upon cold, mechanical steel, he began to laugh. and laugh. and laugh.
the pain. the blood which was drawn from that blue hedgehog. . . the memories all came flooding back.
its vessel, too, had wormed its way from the depths under the very noses of the hedgehogs who had created such a means for him to escape.
stained in ichor from a battle with the likes of a certain blue hedgehog, his breath had been shallow and erratic.
but, he knew one thing. . .
from the depths of this dimensional tear, slipped a little pink gem. one that made reality indistinguishable from illusion.
one that defied even the omniscient powers of the master emerald.
but this was not merely the ruby which slipped through the cracks. . .
it would seem that only mere hours had passed after this fracture in reality;
and its consequences would now rear their ugly heads.
though the efforts of a certain hedgehog did not go un-noticed, it was too little, too late.
