There’s a persistent myth that new solar farms don’t really help tackle climate change because panels are “made with coal” and “never pay back” their carbon debt.

This is simply false.

and we ran a 15 second digital ad in (Essex, Hudson, Union, and Middlesex) that received over 2 million impressions using pre-roll, targeted CTV, and YouTube.

The Victory Fund invested upwards of $175,000 in paid communications to likely voters in the Democratic gubernatorial primary, which included digital ads, tens of thousands of mail pieces to over 35,000 households throughout the state (Essex, Hudson, Union, Bergen, Monmouth, Mercer, Middlesex)

New Jersey LCV Victory Fund launched a significant communications campaign to help elect Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with Mikie to achieve a 100% clean energy future by 2035 and hold polluters accountable.”

Mikie is the strongest candidate to take on Jack Ciattarelli and to fight for the values New Jerseyans care about: clean air and water, preserving open space, lower energy costs, and taking bold action on climate change.

New Jersey LCV endorsed Mikie because she’s committed to preserving our precious remaining open spaces, removing harmful pollution from our water, and rapidly expanding in state clean energy generation and tonight we are confident New Jersey feels that way, too.

However, others like experts with @nrdc.org told me PJM’s backlog of clean energy projects in #NewJersey (namely for solar) has been a major issue.

US Energy Information Admin. expects 63 GW of new utility-scale electric-generating capacity to be added to the U.S. power grid in 2025.

Together, solar & battery storage account for 81% of the expected total capacity additions, with solar making up over 50% of the increase.
