Netflix has acquired Warner Brothers, HBO/ HBO Max. We’re going to be unpacking this for awhile. Does this mean the death of weekly TV? Learning about marketing. Everything about “Haddonfield” was guerrilla warfare. Make no mistake about it - I’m proud of the effort & results. But it was throwing everything at a wall & seeing what stuck. Next time will be different. I know the game now & I intend to be a player for a long time.

Rolling Stone put out their list of Top 20 films of the year. The writer acknowledged Sinners in his opening paragraph & then didn’t include it in his Top 20. While Sinners is my favorite film of the year, I can’t see how any self respecting film critic doesn’t at least have it in their Top 3.

Really missing my step mom today. Her & I would quote Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy endlessly. I always used to tell her that this would be us when we were older & we would crack up. Next month makes 5 years she’s been gone, but it still doesn’t feel real.

Even though Netflix is dropping 4 episodes tomorrow of #StrangerThings5, on 25YL we will be writing about each episode individually. Makes for the best analysis. Which is what we do!

When I started writing “Haddonfield”, I had a loose idea of what the book would look like. A road map that I freely deviated from. I let the work guide me. Last night, I made a very similar road map for Book 2. Looking forward to seeing where the work takes me this time.
