I just ordered 40 copies of my own book. 30 paperback, 10 hardcover. I have no clue if I’ll be able to sell them at events or if they’ll collect dust in my office. Being a first time author is honestly scary, but exhilarating at the same time.

My goal for the rest of this year & into next year, is to write for more places. Horror. TV. Wrestling. Still a leading David Lynch authority.

Yeah, I had the same thought.

I heard about the other Halloween book coming out being forced to change its cover 3 weeks before publication. For the record- I don’t wish them any ill will. I’m sorry this happened to them. Halloween can be a legal land mine & I empathize. I don’t view this book as competition.

Spending a lot of time once again studying the Dexter narrative. I’ve written about this show for years & I feel a certain pressure to deliver exceptional weekly analysis for #DexterResurrection. No screeners again, but I’m not complaining. Excited to dig in this Friday.

Tarantino once said there are only 7 perfect films. We don’t agree on the number but we do agree on 3 of the films (The Exorcist, Jaws & Texas Chainsaw Massacre).

A new film has joined my list though. Sinners has earned its place at the table of perfect films.

My great grandfather came to this country in 1912, as a 10 year old. He was an orphan, forced to rob graves in Greece by criminals until adults put him on the boat. He built a life here. He was the American dream. He would be ashamed of how the US treats migrants today. #July4th
