Nova Scotia removes public’s ability to file complaints about municipal politicians | CBC News Nova Scotia residents can no longer file complaints about their municipal elected officials, a move one advocate calls “dangerously undemocratic.”

We can still complain to our municipal elected officials, we still have mouths and voices, this only took away the written version, now complaints will be filed publicly and in greater numbers.

In essence this kinda only makes things worse for them.

Dismantling Democracy: the 30-year project to take power away from the people - Halifax Examiner Tim Houston doesn't care about bike lanes. Andy Fillmore doesn't care about bike lanes. Bike lanes are just a cheap political gimmick.

Yes the Blue Jays are bad, but have you considered how municipal amalgamation is about decreasing the amount of democracy we have in our society? And we need more democracy.

Has anyone in #halifax seen the city plows out in the last week? We had a regular truck with a plow for the property but zero plows have been on my road. Even after overnight parking bans so they could plow, nothing was touched. 🤔 #halisky
