I ran the Berkeley Trail adventure half marathon today. I placed 10th overall and 2nd in my age group. I was a fun race and Iβm really pleased with how I ran it and how my body performed.

Flyer for a webinar on Thursday, June 12th from 1-2pm eastern titled "Breaking into Education Consulting: Exploring Independent Career Paths." The overview says: curious about what it takes to build a career as an independent consultant? In this webinar, panelists will share practical advice for researchers considering this path. I'm moderating and there are 4 dope panelists. Co-hosted by AEP, NCME, APPAM, and SREE.
Been chatting with folks who've lost their jobs and several said it would be nice to learn about how to get into consulting work. So I said I could put something together on that! Webinar next Thursday at 1pm eastern. (Thanks AEFP, APPAM, NCME, & SREE!)

The future study will allow me to base the analysis just on the lottery, which was not possible since the pre-PIPS survey was anonymous.
25.03.2025 22:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Anecdotally, I can say that almost every student offered a spot through the random lottery enrolled in the course. I recall one student declining the spot because they were offered another opportunity, but that's the only case I remember.
25.03.2025 22:27 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hi Alex. Since the surveys were conducted completely anonymously, I can compare the pre-treatment (no PIPS) survey to post-treatment survey (PIPS, for those who were offered a spot and completed). Only two students started PIPS and did not complete the program (Fig 1 of appendix for more details).
