04.10.2025 22:00 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This camera angle from TBS is a fucking criminal offense. I want the guy who chose it to step on a lego twice a day for the entire postseason.

02.10.2025 20:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0How does compensation work for the non-roster βbe readyβ guys? Do they get a major league salary? Are the Brewers paying for their housing? Do they get a full playoff share? Is this stuff governed by the CBA? Or do different teams handle this differently?
01.10.2025 17:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Rhys Hoskins is a good power hitter with a clutch playoff reputation. Why have the Brewers been so quick to give up on him as a playoff contributor? Is his thumb still sapping his bat speed/power? Heβs a respected pro who will say the right things, but is he really OK with being cast off like this?
01.10.2025 17:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Why does Pat Murphy distrust Tobias Myers? He could be a right-handed complement to Ashby in a multi-inning role, but it doesnβt seem like heβs anywhere close to Murphβs circle of trust. Perplexing.

28.09.2025 21:57 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I probably wouldnβt like Luke Donaldβs politics, but he gets to be the US President now. The Ryder Cup has been a triumph of scientific-analysis-based solidaristic collectivism over gut-feeling-based MAGA individualism. Long Island suburban fascism has fallen; long live cosmopolitan socialism!

-Audible will be its home
-Our run of new episodes will end in April 2026, after nine years
-Tides will continue to be available freely through April
-I will be starting a new show!

βProspectingβ is insane. Especially for pitchersβ¦ who struggle to throw strikesβ¦ and havenβt had sustained success in the big leagues yet. I still think Miz will be a good MLB starter, but the people that βinvestedβ in his cards are going to be really disappointed.

19.09.2025 00:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The Angels are giving off September 2002 Brewers vibes. Are they playing without coaches? Do they know anything about the opposing pitcher? Did their team bus show up 15 minutes before first pitch? Do they all just want to be done with this game as soon as possible? They are not a good watch.

Why should he care? Joe and Eileen Bailey never watch Kimmel. Joe watches Gutfeld while browsing AI Facebook memes about the deep state on his phone. Eileen isnβt allowed to watch TV; she emails her friends about vaccines and autism. They both hate democracy and want Trump to be King forever.
18.09.2025 00:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As always, Joe Pohlad is a pioneer at implementing industry best practices. Look at all the best teams... what do they have in common? Small (& getting smaller) front offices. Shrinking payrolls. Talent-shedding rosters. Stagnant leadership. Antagonistic relations with fans. He's a business genius!
17.09.2025 02:31 β π 20 π 2 π¬ 2 π 0Ok β I engaged with your posts because Iβve enjoyed your books, but I disagreed with your position. You got mad and stopped engaging. In lieu of further discussion, I hope you will consider checking out Talisse & Aikinβs book.
15.09.2025 16:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What is βformal debateβ? What is the difference between βformal debateβ and public exchanges of arguments? "Debate is bad" is a highly useful position for authoritarians. "Much of what gets described as 'debate' in contemporary US society is bad" is a much better position. Democracy w/o debate is impossible. Solidarity w/o debate is fragile & subject to groupthink. Exchange reasons! Deliberate w/ others!
15.09.2025 01:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0"Debate resolves nothing in society and never has" is an argument, & you haven't supported it with any grounding or warrants. You are debating, but you do not want to call what you are doing debate. Advocacy in a democracy requires the exchange of public reason between citizens. Why is that bad?
15.09.2025 01:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0What is the difference between advocacy and debate? When you endorse advocacy, what do suggest one ought to do (as an advocate) when someone else advocates something else/something you disagree with? How does democracy resolve disagreements between citizens?
15.09.2025 01:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What is your proposed alternative method of resolving disagreements between members of a society? How do you propose that ideas become so βgoodβ that they may not be debated? What happens if you are wrong?
15.09.2025 00:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think heβs trying to improve his ability to go back on balls, but heβs still struggling with it. In the process, it seems to be getting in his head, and heβs hesitating more on balls in front of him. Would be interested to hear his perspective.
14.09.2025 01:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβm suspicious heβs tipping. Might be something with the angle of his throwing wrist in the glove when he sets; on curveballs, itβs more bowed. Unclear if hitters could identify that, but it seemed like the Cards were slyly talking about something in the dugout after the last home run.
14.09.2025 01:03 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Alabama isnβt just (much) better; itβs like theyβre playing a different sport. Very disappointing.
13.09.2025 18:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wisconsin playing football against Alabama is what I imagine itβd look like if Miz pitched against the Racine Hitters. He might lose his command & walk a few guys; maybe a ball in play or two will fall in for a hit. But mostly heβd strike everyone out & weβd all laugh at how dominant he was. Yikes.
