CONV kann man natürlich auch bewusst einsetzen, um etwas zu kürzen:
DATA(ThisYear) = CONV char4( sy-datum ).
Der EXACT-Operator im #ABAP ist total unterschätzt. Im Gegensatz zu CONV bemerkt er Datenverlust, z.B. beim Konvertieren in einen kleineren Datentyp.
