I am always keen to find new ways to meet people who live, work and study in Edinburgh South West. Today, I was hosted by the Heriot-Watt University Student Union and we had a great discussion with students on everything from Gaza to AI, and the forthcoming budget.

Today, Aldi demonstrated real commitment to Edinburgh South West by listening to the concerns I raised. They have now joined all other supermarkets in the area and will not sell fireworks here.

By working together, these supermarkets are helping to keep our residents and emergency services safe.

Man and woman arrested after police raid 9 brothels in Edinburgh and East Lothian Two people have been arrested in connection with brothel keeping following raids at numerous addresses in Edinburgh hand East Lothian.

It looks like three of these establishments were in Edinburgh South West - Dalry, Chesser and Tollcross.

I'm pleased that the women involved are being treated as victims, rather than criminals.
