Happy 77th Birthday to our amazing NHS. Founded by Nye Bevan in Manchester, we have so much to be grateful for.
Thank you for the care you have given to my family and friends. Thank you for the care you have given me in recent months. I can never say Thank You enough ๐
Happy 4th of July to my American friends and connections.
My ancestors travelled to your country, on The Mayflower and through the centuries, in search of a better life, tolerance of differences and opportunity.
May you always aspire to be a beacon to the world for all that is good in humankind.
I was named and then confirmed for the two great Apostles of The Church whose Feast we celebrate today - Saints Peter and Paul. They suffered and died for their Faith.
I pray that I will always be inspired by their example to speak the truth with kindness and clarity.
Today is #ArmedForcesDay when we pay tribute to all past and present members of our Armed Forces who, in so many different roles and ways, keep us safe, protect our country and dedicate their lives to our service.
Thank You!
It's from a couple of years ago but this TV advertisement from @samaritans.bsky.social is so powerful.

In Armed Forces Week let's take the opportunity to say Thank You to all those who serve.
We remember those who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe.
Let's also remember the partners & families of our service personnel who carry on at home knowing the work that is done.
Remembering Mum on her birthday.
Always in my thoughts and prayers. So deeply loved and missed so very much.
May her soul and the souls of all the Faithful Departed Rest in Peace and may Light Perpetual shine upon her O Lord.
Love you Mum. โค๏ธโค๏ธ
My almost constant companion since I came out of hospital. She is such a sweet natured and loving little thing. She has been wonderful but Mabel never poses for the camera ๐คฃ
19.06.2025 13:09 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Eight years on and still miss our little man Charlie.
When we got him from the Rescue Home he had been abused and was the most scared little soul.
With immense patience and much love he turned into a contented little soul, always a bit scared but so loving.
A reminder from @catsprotection.bsky.social that today is Mature Moggies Day with a particular focus on adopting older cats who often have to wait so much longer for their forever home.

My thoughts are with all those involved and those awaiting news about their relatives and friends.
Remembering my younger brother Michael on his birthday. In my thoughts and prayers.
Eternal Rest grant unto him O Lord. May his soul and the souls of all the Faithful Departed Rest in Peace and may Light Perpetual shine upon him.

Today we remember the service and sacrifice of all those turned the tide of World War 2 and secured our Freedom.
We remember those who died in the cause of freedom, those who returned home and all who lived with the consequences of war.
#D-DayAnniversary
Today on the 81st anniversary we remember D-Day which was the largest seaborne invasion in history.
D-Day was an international effort with our troops fighting alongside those from many other countries.

Today is the Feast of The Ascension of Our Lord and Saviour into Heaven
He is with us always in the darkest of times, walking with us when we feel we can walk no further.
I have certainly felt His enduring presence in my life of late.
Interesting item from @catsprotection.bsky.social
I was worried that after being in hospital for 7 weeks Mabel would have forgotten me. I was reassured when she came to me within minutes of my return

Having been brought up around Farms and Horses it would never occur to me to not slow down when passing/encountering a horse.
If that is something that you are not aware then this information from The British Horse Society might help
