99% of the people are just working to stay afloat and the minority who protest and make good trouble are ridiculed as losers without jobs. I really don't know how our revolutionary spirit was so dampened. Bad education, income inequality, lack of political clout because lobbists and dark money.

We're a really big country geographically so dissent is dispersed. I think there are millions of us but I live 2500 miles from the US capital where the protests would be most effective. Not the whole story, but a piece of a complex relationship to protests we Americans have.
