For the first time since the 1960s, the pay disparity between US men and women widened over a two-year period.
And International Womens Day has 23 hours this year. Iβm not a fan of pay inequality, or time changes.

US gasoline prices jumped 14% this past week as a result of Trumpβs elective war in Iran, according to @npr.org.
The flat-Earthers who used to post Joe Biden stickers on gas pumps have been mighty quiet for some reason.
The atrocities will continue until he fires Stephen Miller.

Eisenhower installed the Dulles brothers, who were not good guys.
Even leaving Iran aside, the Dulles boys also overthrew democratically elected governments in Guatemala and the Congo, and were complicit in the murder of the Congolese president.
He was and he wasnβt. Eisenhower named Earl Warren to SCOTUS, but came to regret it.
And just 4 months after this quote, he approved a joint CIA-MI6 ouster of the democratically elected government of Iran.
The quote rings especially true given that 73 years on the effects of that coup linger on.
βA war without focus is a war with no tangible goals. And a war with no goals ends up a Forever War.
βTrump said these kinds of Forever Wars would never happen under his presidency. He lied. Just like saying heβd lower prices and bring back jobs, he lied.β (h/t @micfarris.com)
Best (only?) example of regime change by air strike: Libya 2011.
Here's why it's more of a cautionary tale:
β¦οΈIt was such a personalized regime that succession proved impossible. That's not #Iran.
β¦οΈUS didn't actually kill Qaddafi: A mob did.
β¦οΈPost-2011 Libya is chaotic mess: Is that what we want?
For the Epsteinth time: There are plenty of reasons to do this now.

ICE agents grabbed a 16-year-old asylum seeker--which they aren't supposed to do
They kept him from his parents -which they aren't supposed to do
They shipped him out of state, to a Christian ministry, which they aren't supposed to do.
Then they *lost* him.

Incredible opinion. It holds that the common ICE tactic of jumping out of an unidentified rental vehicle and seizing suspected noncitizens while masked violates the Fourth Amendment because the *manner* of the seizure is incompatible with a free society governed by the rule of law.
