3/ Democracy cannot survive if we excuse acts of sedition. No one—no matter how powerful—should be above the law. We must stand together to defend our democratic principles.

2/ By granting these pardons, Trump sends a clear message: loyalty to him excuses criminal behavior. This undermines justice, disrespects the sacrifices of those who defended the Capitol, and emboldens future violence.

1/ President Trump’s decision to pardon over 1,500 individuals involved in the January 6th insurrection is a dangerous assault on the rule of law.

These were not peaceful protestors—they were individuals who stormed the Capitol, assaulted law enforcement, and tried to overthrow our democracy.
