It definitely wants you to get good at it. Once you start noticing elements of attack patterns and the level design, it really puts you in a flow state.

No that first phase did take me a bit to get down but it definitely is at least easy to avoid the eggs if you mess up the bounces.

Yeah I am playing it after playing 9 other games and I definitely played it when it came out back in the day, so I am probably just more warmed up and better than I used to be. It still is hard but it feels like a fair challenge.

King Stage 2 is one of the worst levels put to a Mega Man game by far.

I remembered this game being WAY harder than it actually is but maybe Mega Man & Bass just kicked my ass too much. The level of challenge feels entirely fair because everything is well telegraphed and despite removing a lot of tools from your moveset, I think it holds up very well.

Where do these companies find these people for “test audiences” because every story I have heard about a test audience just has them hating everything.

Good point, it being its own thing away from anything attempted by the series before gives it a lot of room to shine.

As a lifelong Pokemon fan I can understand exactly why that’s the case. The Pokemon community are divided over every mainline game and why it’s the best/worst/goated/mid game since “insert your fav pokemon game here”. Pokopia is its own thing without all the baggage a mainline game will carry

Went to see the Umamusume movie in theaters again with a friend and my showing had a row of cosplayers who broke out lightsticks to Umapyoi Legend in the credits, it was so awesome. 😭

Definitely one of the best entries. Has dual gameplay styles that appeal to both sides of the fans.

Does this factor in the later evolutions or STRICTLY stage 1?
