my head is spinning and i am so worried about those odds but there’s nothing to do but wait and hope for the best.

gosh the vets at huonville and north hobart are absolute fucking angels who i am so very thankful for

from xrays/visual assessment during surgery it didn’t look like it had metastasised but there’s no way to tell what the mass is without testing. so now they send it to pathology, and there’s a 50/50 chance of it being benign or malignant

so first hurdle is down but we are not out of the woods

so it turns out baby jockie had a softball-sized mass on his spleen which had ruptured so he needed emergency surgery.

that went well and now we’re waiting to see if he can come home tonight

a short haired black and white border collie is lying on the floor looking into the camera

everyone think good thoughts for this guy today, he’s been unwell for the last few days and is at the vet getting some scans and tests now
