I continue to be fascinated by the phenomenon whereby an expert engages with any of the LLMs on their field of expertise and is instantly horrified by the wrong answers, and then goes on to use it for things they are not experts in as though it wonβt be just as bad for those.

Being aware of signs of chronic alcohol use would be helpful. I wonder if one reason this is rare is that people at libraries care for and check on patrons?

7th grade Issaquah resident Michael Miller giving the best public commentary I think I've ever heard
Lots of great Issaquah folks at yesterday's Sound Transit board meeting, but 7th grader Michael Miller gave the best public testimony I've ever heard. He'll be 28 when the Issaquah line opens. He's not asking for something now, he's asking us to build the right future

The updated figure for light rail ridership for the Super Bowl victory parade earlier this month was 225,000, according to CEO Dow Constantine just now at the monthly ST board meeting.
That's 65,000 more riders than the previous one-day ridership record.

So you get out your Fascism for Dummies book for the 15 things you do, and we tried to include as many of them as we could in the most artful way possible. How were we supposed to know that this clown car in Washington was going to basically use the same book that we used? So I don't think it's prescience so much as the sad familiarity of fascism and the karaoke menu of things that you go through to do it. You could list them from the show, or you could list them from the newspaper.
Tony Gilroy, creator of Andor, wasnβt allowed to use the word βfascismβ during press junkets in 2025.

Summary
The Council directed the staff to bring forward an Interim Official Control Ordinance (IOC) on bulk
building regulations. The purpose of the IOC is to ensure that while the middle housing codes are
being implemented that Medina doesnβt create housing that burdens the other residents with
noise, light, and loss of privacy. The attached IOC makes the following changes to the Medina
Municipal Code:
1. Increases side yard setbacks to increase separation and privacy between homes. (MMC
16.22.030.A.)
2. Requires a new side yard setback that is 5β wider than the base side yard setback for
second stories and above. (MMC 16.22.030.A.)
3. Reduces the extent of side yard protrusions and requires a landscape buffer for structures
over 30 inches. (MMC 16.22.040.)
4. Reduces extent of protrusion for decks or patios into side yard setbacks from 50 percent
to 25 percent intrusion and requires a dense landscape buffer when protrusion is a deck
or patio. (MMC 16.22.040.C.2.c.)
5. Requires fountains and other similar installations in setbacks that make noise to not be
heard by neighboring properties. (MMC 16.22.040.K.7.)
6. Eliminates height bonuses. (MMC 16.23.050 and MMC 16.23.060.)
7. Requires vacant homes to keep interior lights off if those lights are visible to neighbors
when the house is not occupied (MMC 16.44.040.H.)
8. Requires vacant homes to avoid exterior lighting that creates light trespass to neighbors.
(MMC 16.44.040.I.)
Oh my god. Medina is set to adopt an emergency ordinance adding a bunch of restrictions to prevent "housing that burdens the other residents with noise, light, and loss of privacy."
They include a ban on yard fountains that can be heard from neighboring properties & interior lights in vacant homes.

The concentration camps will not only be for immigrants, documented or otherwise. They already aren't.
They won't only be for brown and Black people.
The targets will keep expanding. It will not end.
The only way it will is if we stop it. Both in and out of the system. There is no other way.
