Protect intersex minors from unnecessary medical interventions (until they can decide for themselves).
π Improve education on intersex people for doctors and family of intersex people, to prevent prejudiced or negative treatment.
All of these are in our policy, under RR520 - RR523.
The Green Party would:
βοΈ Include intersex as a protected characteristic in current equalities law and acknowledge that individuals have legal protection in adopting a gender identity or expression.
β Introduce "X" gender markers on passports for intersex people to use if they so wish.

Green Party Conference recently passed some amazing healthcare policy for the trans community. It commits us to an informed consent model of trans healthcare, a trans-led public inquiry into NHS care, a trans-inclusive ban on conversion therapy, and so much more.
