yeahhh they got a crazy slow metabolism since they are desert creatures. this also means they can go a long time without food (but i still always have a cup of beetle jelly in there no matter what)

they're also extremely easy to keep and fun to watch. they climb things and fall over a lot

i'll add though that in the best-case scenario these guys can live up to eight years which is still crazy to me. thats longer than a rat

its alright.. these guys are wild-caught so its impossible to know how healthy they were beforehand. i did bury them out in the backyard with makeshift gravestones (i drew a cross on a rock with sharpie)

i later got another three of a different species but i never named them. unfortunately two of those ended up dying the other year but one of them is still going strong. perhaps they should get a name

the first three i got i named Kiki, Don, and Jinx, but the only one i can actually tell apart is Kiki. so the other two are just The Males
