Tarn stands in the center of a circular stage, legs together and arms apart. He's surrounded by bright light, both from below and radiating from above, and he's lit so brightly he looks pink instead of purple. Rays reflect off his back and escape around his edges. The drawing is done in a style mimicking the look of soft pastels, and the lines are smudged and very impressionistic, often crossing over one another to show several possible positions of certain elements. His hands, for example, are drawn and colored in one position, but black lines around them show other possible positions - raised differently, lowered, or sweeping to the sides. Vague lines also suggest an excited audience around him. The colors are intended to evoke the Futurist style.
