I don't have a lot of me-mades for lounging, rotting in bed, etc. but I'd like to! So I'm taking advantage of feeling like garbage to really think about what I'd like to be wearing because my sensory needs are maxxed to 11. I want something soft and oversized!

day 18 of #MeMadeMay and the exact same colour combo as yesterday! This #BateauTop (Friday Pattern Company) is 1/2 of a matching set with yesterday's skirt.

day 17 of #MeMadeMay. Once again, a #WhitlamSkirt (Muna and Broad) for a day of errands. Made in 2024, size F graded to D at waist. I took my little one to the thrift store and we scored some Lego(!!!), an I Spy book, and some duvet covers to turn into dresses.

day 16 of #MeMadeMay. Not me-made today, but mum-made. My mum made this dress! It's #m7969 (McCalls), size XXL, in a double gauze. She made it for herself and recently passed it on to me.

day 15 of #MeMadeMay. Might look like a skirt but it's PANTS! These are the #zerowasteblockpant (Brigitta Helmersson), my first foray into zero waste sewing. Made in 2023 in size 5XL as that was my postpartum hip size at the time. I've since added mods and would probably make a 2XL-3XL now.

My top here is RTW and a gift from my sister, but Muna and Broad has a similar pattern in their Atrax Top.

day 12 of #MeMadeMay. I made this #GeorgiaDress (Eliz Suzann) in 2022 when I was getting back into garment sewing. Size OSP2, dress length — this pattern also comes in top and tunic lengths.

The fabric is thrifted poly. A reverse image search tells me that it was originally from a Hawaiian brand!

The comfiest! An excellent nap dress.

It is! I was hoping to reuse an old hat but couldn't find one. My sewing needle DID NOT like the plastic so I sewed around it very slowly and carefully.

The bonus of recycling that plastic is that it's super bendy! I can throw it in my bag easily without worrying about it.

day 11 of #MeMadeMay. I made this #HopeDress (Style Arc) last month from a thrifted flat sheet. Size 18, with the only mods omitting the pockets, facings, and the back loop closure.

I have another cut out and many more planned!

I basically stayed in pj's all day, just a me-made hat.

This is the #CosmoCap, a free pattern from Bernina. I hated the instructions so I followed a Spoonflower blog post on hats.
Made in 2023 from a weird wax-like fabric, 2nd hand bias tape, and a yoghurt container.

Great question! I love and have made patterns from Muna & Broad and Friday Pattern Company. 100 Acts of Sewing has great simple patterns. I also love Cashmerette and own several patterns but haven't made any of them yet.

Day 6. I'm cranky with this pattern company and their recent "rebrand" that wiped fat and plus size bodies from their website, so no tags or names.

Fat and plus size makers are not an afterthought!

I was working with a limited amount of fabric, giving me this creative combo of stripes.
