day 15 of #MeMadeMay. Might look like a skirt but it's PANTS! These are the #zerowasteblockpant (Brigitta Helmersson), my first foray into zero waste sewing. Made in 2023 in size 5XL as that was my postpartum hip size at the time. I've since added mods and would probably make a 2XL-3XL now.

Another of my TNT, the #WhitlamSkirt (Muna and Broad). Size F graded to D at waist. Thrifted knit fabric.

My top here is RTW and a gift from my sister, but Muna and Broad has a similar pattern in their Atrax Top.

day 12 of #MeMadeMay. I made this #GeorgiaDress (Eliz Suzann) in 2022 when I was getting back into garment sewing. Size OSP2, dress length — this pattern also comes in top and tunic lengths.

The fabric is thrifted poly. A reverse image search tells me that it was originally from a Hawaiian brand!

The comfiest! An excellent nap dress.

It is! I was hoping to reuse an old hat but couldn't find one. My sewing needle DID NOT like the plastic so I sewed around it very slowly and carefully.

The bonus of recycling that plastic is that it's super bendy! I can throw it in my bag easily without worrying about it.

day 11 of #MeMadeMay. I made this #HopeDress (Style Arc) last month from a thrifted flat sheet. Size 18, with the only mods omitting the pockets, facings, and the back loop closure.

Great question! I love and have made patterns from Muna & Broad and Friday Pattern Company. 100 Acts of Sewing has great simple patterns. I also love Cashmerette and own several patterns but haven't made any of them yet.

I got COVID and spent most of my time complaining in bed.
I read 4 books, including my new fave contemporary romance.
I registered my kid for kindergarten in September.
I mended some clothes for a friend, but otherwise didn't sew at all.

11th hour full circle with 2 finished projects and a WIP!

I made a self-drafted balaclava with a blue quilt star motif, and a blue variegated #SophieScarf.
In progress is a #SweaterNo8 with some hacks planned to make a tabard / layering piece.

Two knitting projects still on the needles lay on top of a computer keyboard. A hand on the bottom left holds the edge of a variegated blue scarf. The scarf project has been put aside after about 12 inches of work in favour of the brown and blue project.

I made it this far with a #SophieScarf before switching to a more weather appropriate project. Balaclava incoming!

I tried figuring out how long I've had this cotton yarn in my stash... and tbh I have no idea. I know I've had it since at least 2019 and it was from a #Fibreshare swap (iykyk).

That one's for December, probably. I'm tall and usually have to lengthen patterns 4" minimum, so that will take care of some of it. If you have any fabric-eating patterns to suggest, I'm all ears!
