Forced treatment doesn’t create recovery.
It creates resistance.
I’ve worked in the private recovery industry.
The clients who were forced into it didn’t recover.
They relapsed, they disappeared, and some died.
Support people. Don’t control them!
If you can survive losing half a billion and still be a billionaire…
you’ll be fine.
If you can fund war, you can fund healthcare.
If you can fund war, you can fund housing.
If you can fund war, you can feed the hungry.
The money exists.
Compassion just isn’t the priority.
What sad times we are in!
Working people aren’t asking for bombs.
They’re asking for doctors, decent pay, and rent they can actually afford!
You say cannabis is linked to anxiety.
I say anxiety is linked to:
rent you can’t afford,
groceries you can’t pay for,
and working nonstop just to stay afloat.
Fix the pressure.

Was doing a live radio show in the Downtown Eastside this morning…
when someone I helped walked up, hugged me, and said thank you.
Still didn’t miss a beat on air.

No one deserves to be homeless.
No one deserves to be abandoned or mistreated.
Recovery taught me something powerful: People can’t heal while they’re hungry, homeless, and hurting.
Food. Housing. Healthcare.
These aren’t luxuries, they are human rights!
A friend told Brian Burke about the work I do helping others,
and that my son’s hero is Sidney Crosby.

So I made her a breakfast sandwich instead—
homemade sourdough, local eggs, Canadian cheese, tomato…
the only thing not from 🇨🇦 was the avocado 🇲🇽.
No flowers.
No U.S. imports.
Calls Canada ‘one of the most difficult countries to deal with.’
Canada: Please stop texting. This is getting weird.
“Get them off the streets.”
“Not in my neighbourhood.”
That contradiction is the crisis
Poverty doesn’t just take.
It compounds.
No doctor today.
A hospital bill tomorrow.
Teeth rot. Backs break. Cancer spreads.
The cost is always delayed, never forgiven.
Poverty charges interest.
Moments like this remind us how fragile and precious life is.
May Tumbler Ridge feel the love of a nation wrapping around them.
Housing, food, safety, and connection aren’t luxuries. They are addiction treatment, mental health care, and suicide prevention at the most fundamental level. Ignore that, and we ignore what truly saves lives.

I woke up this morning still carrying the same sadness from last night.
So many young lives gone in Tumbler Ridge, BC.
It’s devastating… and deeply unfair.
Holding the families and the whole community in my heart during this unimaginable loss. 💔
They say I’m radical for supporting harm reduction.
Saving lives isn’t radical.
Letting people die is!
