JUST IN: Democrat Alex Holladay has flipped a GOP-held seat in *Arkansas*.

Republican Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders tried hard to delay this race and wanted the seat to stay vacant for 8+ months, but the courts told her to hold it today. If she was worried, she was right to be.

Under Article I, Section 8, Clause 11 of the U.S. Constitution, Congress holds the exclusive power to formally declare war, ensuring this decision rests with elected representatives rather than a single executive.

Or, at least, that was the idea.

Trump’s act is as lawless as it is reckless.

In case you’re just waking up, the U.S. has teamed up with Israel overnight to start an illegal war of regime change, apparently on a presidential whim with no involvement of Congress, and they are already committing horrific atrocities.

Shoreline allows for small-scale retail and other businesses in nearly all properties across the city without state legislation. The same is true in several cities in our region and across the country.

This seems like a very livable style of building. More people should have access to fresh (cross-ventilated) air and green space.

Chris is a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and would be the first tribal member elected to a position in the King County government.

We should materially support all of our indigenous candidates - from Mary Peltola and Peggy Flanagan to our candidates running for local office.

Civil rights are a kitchen-table issue.

The SAVE Act would make it harder for eligible Americans to cast a ballot — period. We should be strengthening our democracy, not restricting it.

NEWS tonight: Democrats have successfully defended state House seats in Maine and Pennsylvania.

Dems have narrowest of majorities in each of these 2 chamber. A GOP gain in either would have meant that Dems' majority is over soon.

Roberts's amendments effectively strengthen the language within the reso, while also directing staff to work with the community to "develop and distribute signage" and to develop rules addressing conduct of city employees as related to civil immigration activity.

Local zoning is the way! A lot of these are being stopped or stalled by neighborhood organizing.

These warehouses often need to be purchased, permitted, approved for occupancy and specs. Each one of those steps can be interrupted.

This administration is very unpopular with the American people.

We must continue to stand up for our values, our freedoms, and our country.

I’m excited that the Washington State Senate passed SB 6162, which will make it much easier for Washington residents to get some property tax relief (by raising the qualifying income threshold for seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities and making the application process simpler).
