Watching Wishbone on PBS made reading so epic and magical as a child. I truly believe I would not be the bookworm, or librarian, I am without access to PBS programs.

Fourth Wing Review Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, the first book in The Empyrean series, is set in Navarre, a kingdom alongside fearsome dragons. The protagonist, Violet, faces an unexpected path on Conscription Day, shifting from her scribe aspirations to surviving in the dangerous Riders Quadrant. The story features a diverse cast, emotional betrayals, and a mix of humor and complexity, particularly with the dragon characters. While the world-building is appreciated, the review notes excessive foreshadowing and issues with spice levels that detract from the experience.
