No real shade on anyone for doing this. I just keep running into this on Discord. Like you can scroll your OWN social media feed, so why you watching someone ELSE scroll through THEIR feed? I guess that "over the shoulder" feeling feels uncomfortable to me, I dunno.

This is why I say "PRICES NEGOTIABLE" on my work, where people can choose to LOWER the price to FREE or something they can afford.

--For others who feel they need FREE INKED single images or SEQUENCES..

I usually NEVER deviate from my payment rules except in EXTREME cases where the client is really angry (at me or someone else) or gone through really tough times (losing job/huge hospital bill/getting dumped/etc).--

-- For INKS, the rules are USUALLY more strict.

Things are still negotiable, like a client can still discuss lowering prices to something they feel is best for them.

Clients may also LOWER FRAMES TO FREE in a sequence write-up, if they feel they're paying enough for other frames.(negotiable)--

-- Reasoning can be pretty much anything from financial or emotional hardships to explanations on how a client needs to use that money elsewhere. It is somply easier for me to justify putting in the extra effort if I can read some form of reasoning behind it.

Again, SEQUENCES WILL take more time--

-- With CLEANED sketches... technically they count as the same thing...

I ASK that you pay $60 per character, but since they are STILL SKETCHES, the client still has the RIGHT to LOWER the price to $0 , as long as they STATE THEIR REASONING for it.--

--With ROUGH sketches, ANYTHING is fair.

If you WANT to pay something for it, you NAME YOUR PRICE, or choose to LOWER IT TO $0.

Rough sketches are quick and quality always varies. They can be single sketches or sequences (NOTE: sequences WILL take longer).--

-- I understand I have all kinds of fans from different walks of life. Some can afford to pay full prices on everything, some need discounts, and some simply cannot afford anything.
Some may have money, but wish to have control over how they spend it.

Regardless if your situation, I try to adapt--

--Fortunately, MOST of ANY sketches (unless PRIVATE) can still be used on my Patron Discord as CONTENT. Therefore, not all work is "lost."

I can still do "FREE work" and still get PAID by using it as Patron content.--

-- With this system, I could sketch as many sketches as the client needed until they chose which ones to buy.

In doing this, I was technically doing sketches for FREE. If I was allowing free sketches for one client, why not allow free sketches for others, specially those who are more needy?--

In the past, I changed my system so that NOBODY PAID unless they APPROVED of the sketch.

The reason I did this was because I kept running into situations where people would PAY for a sketch they DID NOT REALLY LIKE, and I didn't find out they did not like it until LATER, and I'd break down.--

These "lower price/free" rules mostly pertain to ROUGH and CLEAN SKETCH work, because that can be done much faster.

They CAN be applied to INKS, but on more rare occasions (explained further below).
