Unpopular opinion: it’s ok to be a sports fan even if there’s a lot of problematic cultural aspects involved with the sport itself. Yes it requires a heavy dose of cognitive dissonance. Yes you can expect better of certain players and the sport itself. But you’re still allowed to be a fan.
