Session 2 of our #TTRPG Campaign ("Valour and Profit") happened last night. The party investigated the village (getting sidetracked multiple times) then tracked the goblins, saved the kids... and somehow ended up with a shard of a forgotten god lodged close to their hearts... 😬❤️

In the first adventure, my #TTRPG table fought a group of goblins. Now their friends are seeking revenge, so I dug up some MESBG minis I got in... 2003-ish (through a De Agostini by-post subscription or something) and got them ready for a fight!

The bridge is built out of cardboard, the top is printed with a tiled stone design, and the sides are coloured with alchool-based markers to have a similar design. Two of the pictures show the bridge being used in combination with the Loke book of battlemaps, where it fits perfectly across the spiral-binding of the book

Needed a bridge for the "boss fight" of the next #TTRPG session so I built one out of cardboard and foam core. The top is printed (to have the correct squares) while the sides are done with markers. The best was engineering it to fit perfectly on the spiral-binding of the A4 Loke book 🥸

Painted the mid-campaign rival for my #TTRPG table. Zyrhiss Kae'ssir, your run to the mill drow with sharp blades and sharper superiority complex. Another quick paintjob with heavy-handed highlights so that they are visible in the low light conditions of our gaming setting 😅

Liberators, the souls of ancient heroes reforged by Sigmar, endlessly trained for war (when not fighting in one)... same points as their dogs 🤣

It's not particularly pretty or special in any way, but it's the first time I go beyond the most basic sketch and no one will see it IRL so I felt like sharing 😅

The players voted unanimously to continue with a campaign of 10 sessions. We play once a month so this will bring us to Spring. Let's see if their motivation keeps up 😅

The players went full "ohhhhh" when I surprised them with the painted miniatures for their characters (which took waaay shorter to paint than preparing the actual adventure) for the first combat, and using music&sound for the first time (with Pocket Bard) was also surprisingly smooth.

we played Chroniques Oubliées Fantasy 2e and the adventure was my remix of Hollow's Last Hope (notably, the characters were exposed to the sickness providing immediate motivation and time pressure). The main challenge was doing it all in French (first time) but my overpreparation helped 😅

So, the #TTRPG night happened last Friday and it was amazing. Our daughters loved the sleepover, and we played until 2.30 AM: 30mins of introduction and 3.5 hours of adventure (characters had been created in advance). The six first-time players all enjoyed the experience so we'll do it again 🥹

and finally, character n° 6: Saorin, the sorceress half-elf with draconic blood. A very quick paintjob and a tbf mediocre Nolzur mini, but it's done: all players will have a painted mini for their character this evening -the best part, is that they don't know this yet 🤭

aaand character n° 4, Lynaewen the high elf witch, is finished as well. I never know how to paint 🪄 magic 🪄 and this mini is 80% magic, but I like the purple robes -this is my wife's character, so hopefully she'll like them too 😅
