Also I think Leon being too powerful made sections fly by quicker + there was little outside of gunning through enemies no environmental puzzles and even the sniper segment was really basic

But I was surprised given the currency system there were no optional challenge requests or enemy hunts - just random bracelets to pick up for bonus

I (say this with love) genuinely think they had to push it out before it was ready due to the length of development and all the changes

Several big encounters felt not fully baked and like some types of enemies should have been populated throughout the city and not just for one time events.

We all know this would not go over well with the general fan base though

She would feel more like a character with agency and personal stakes and less of a second fiddle. And you could experience her growing to trust Chris as he supports her and then feel that earned support she gives back in his arc - and it would feel like an actual living place and not a backdrop

We could see Sheva interact with locals just before and then after she is joined by Chris and actually feel the shift in their demeanor and their initial wariness - and really learn the weight she carries in feeling responsible for protecting these communities she belongs to

After Jill reveal we would play out the flashback that was add on DLC and then once we return to present day you would be Chris

My dream rewrite for RE5 Remake would be to have it start from the perspective of Sheva and it be her story meeting this American special agent she has been assigned to be partners with and then shifts to Chris once it is revealed that he unknowingly has his own personal connections to the situation

Need a Jill Ada moment where they are both like “you’re kind of a bitch but real recognize real”
