Thanks, thatβs a good idea to get them to focus on published work in terms of its form, structure, language, etc. Theyβre regularly exposed to published work but are usually mining it for content and I guess donβt always notice formal aspects

Anyone have good tips for teaching essay writing to undergrad students? I run regular sessions on essay writing but Iβm either not explaining it properly or itβs not going in, as I keep seeing the same mistakes Iβve warned against.
