Loved this piece! 😍

Heading into the bank holiday weekend, DRI staff caught the 195th annual exhibition @rha-arts.bsky.social
We were particularly taken by the USB sculpture by Redmond Herrity, "Connection to the Past." The persistence of stone contrasted with the fragility of the digital.
Message received! 🙌

Insects in 17th-century still lifes were not just uninvited guests. Look closely at those lush canvases and you’ll spot tiny intruders: bees, beetles, caterpillars… 🐝🪲🐛

A night shot of multiple ICE agents masked as always outside a temporary private prison.
🚨One of the most terrifying elements of the Trump budget bill is NOT getting enough attention.
The Bill will make ICE the biggest policing and incarceration agency in the US.
Bigger than the FBI, with more jail space than the Federal Prison Bureau.
It’s a budget for a police state.

The plunder of our seas by industrial fishing is a monstrosity in which almost everyone unwittingly collaborates. For decades this truth has been deliberately hidden from us. Now at last the consensus is cracking.

We have lost all contact with our UNRWA colleagues in Gaza, communications have been cut off.
This morning, for the first time in months, we did not receive their morning messages to say, "good morning" and "we are fine/alive".
We anxiously await to hear from our colleagues.
Three members of the Madleen team—Pascal Maurieras, Yanis Mhamdi, and Marco van Rennes—are still illegally detained by Israel and may be held for another month.
Arrested unlawfully in international waters and denied basic rights,
they are being held in inhumane conditions, with only one hour of light per day and severe skin infections from bed bug infestations. This is not detention. It is hostage-taking.
We urge the French and Dutch governments to take immediate action to secure their release and safe return home—
