The Legislative Black Caucus is hosting town halls across the state to engage with the community and build a Black policy agenda.

This is in the Community Room at Beloit Public Library from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

Our farmers deserve better than being collateral damage in someone else’s political games," Rep. Anderson said today while introducing a resolution with State Senator Mark Spreitzer asking for immediate action to support our farmers and resolve the trade war with China.

"We must send a clear message that we do not support sending billions to bail out Argentina while Wisconsin soybean farmers are still paying the price for a trade war with China. I guess MAGA now stands for 'Make Argentina Great Again...'

The federal shutdown will leave 700,000 Wisconsinites not knowing where their next meal will come from. USDA Secretary Rollins has the authority to release funds to keep FoodShare operating. Representative Sequanna Taylor, myself, and my colleagues are urging the administration to do the right thing

Today I introduced a bill alongside Wisconsin State Representative Ann Roe, @briennebrown.bsky.social, and State Senator Mark Spreitzer to ban child marriage in Wisconsin.

The appropriate number of child marriages is zero.

Thank you for the work you do to keep these issues front and center.

We discussed important efforts to expand postpartum Medicaid coverage to one year after birth and to eliminate out-of-pocket costs for breast cancer screenings. Both are meaningful steps toward better health outcomes and stronger support for patients.

It was great to meet with advocates from the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network during their lobby day at the Capitol. I appreciated hearing your stories and your dedication to improving access to care for Wisconsin families.

Danielle and I stopped by the Evansville Fire District’s Annual Spaghetti Dinner. We enjoyed some great food while supporting the department and the incredible first responders who keep our community safe.

Danielle and I had a great time at the 3rd Annual Orfordville Fall Fest! We tried some amazing chili during the cook-off and even got to see Orfordville Village President Dennis Burtness dressed as a scarecrow. It’s always fun to see the community come together for events like this.

Last Friday marked 100 days of Mercy East workers on strike. I was proud to stand with the UAW members who are fighting for a fair contract. Unions built the middle class, and their fight for fair wages and safe working conditions lifts all of us.

Her quick action and courage saved a life, and we’re lucky to have her serving our community. Congratulations Hannah on this well deserved award!

I was honored to recognize City of Beloit Police Officer Hannah Carlson as the First Responder of the Year for the 45th District. Officer Carlson showed incredible bravery when she jumped into a river to rescue a driver trapped in a sinking SUV.

It is time we send a message that no matter how powerful, wealthy, or politically connected you are, you will be held accountable if you traffic children.

Today, let’s take time to learn about and honor the history, resilience, and traditions of Indigenous communities across our state.

Today is Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Wisconsin is home to 11 federally recognized tribes, each with a unique history and culture. The entirety of the 45th Assembly District lies on Ho-Chunk land.

Danielle and I enjoyed one of the last outdoor Beloit Farmers' Market of the season in downtown Beloit. The crisp air, coffee, and local produce made for a perfect fall morning! The final outdoor market is October 25th. Don’t miss it!
