I really miss reddit, But I'm sticking to my guns. I never did Twitter, but heavily used Facebook and Reddit. Now I just have Bluesky and my thoughts. I feel a huge weight off my mind and noticably less anxiety

I'm feel that Facebooks algorithm and reddits bots are going to be the end of mankind.

Just finishing up chapter 3 of Wukong. I downloaded the audio drama version of journey to the West for me and my daughter to listen to.

I forgot how much I absolutely love Asian mythology. It brings me back to when I first played Jade Empire for the first Xbox.

My wife is currently in the grips of stardew addiction. She keeps playing until she's exhausted and then she falls asleep in real life, and then her character passes out from exhaustion in some random location and she loses stuff.

I recently started collecting the required files on my steam deck to start playing PlayStation 1 and 2 games.

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug because some of those games I cannot believe I used to play them for hours.

Even physical isn't foolproof. Unless it is purely A single player game that doesn't have DRM. You'll even lose those games once the authentication servers go offline.

I really do miss those days.

Halo lan parties. Everybody brought a few Jack's pizzas and a case of mountain dew.

Man, I was really enjoying a full day without seeing the name Trump, Musk, Tate, Shapiro, Fuentes and the like...

It really does feel amazing not having an algorithm shove the s*** you hate the most in your face 24 hours a day.

Been on a Stephen King binge for a while. Probably going to do a reread of Dresden files before Christmas.

I watched jacksepticeye play it before I did, it still gave me the spooks.

I didn't really know much about him until after he passed.

Something about the patience and tone with which he talked, I can listen to that man for hours on end.

I still reflexively try to open up my Facebook and Reddit apps that I've uninstalled...

Eventually that will go away.

Right now I'm really loving not having the algorithm feed me all the s*** that I hate, to drive me into a rage and fill me with anxiety. I can feel my blood pressure decreasing.
