[August 1st, 1945] The Potsdam Agreement was signed. It outlined plans for Germany's demilitarization, denazification, territorial adjustments (like Poland's border shift), and reparations. It also called for Japan's unconditional surrender and postwar reconstruction.

Happy #FieldworkFriday! Station PRO, near Prosser, WA, was swept over by a brushfire this week! Thanks to smart vegetation management the site was totally spared from damage. It's a strong reminder of how proactive fire safety measures can prevent loss when the worst occurs.

We use to get calls for them everyday from people calling the wrong Biltmore.

Seven years ago we had a couple stay at the Biltmore for their wedding anniversary. They had gotten married at the Cal-Neva when Sinatra owned it. During Sinatra's show he stopped and serenaded them. It's hard to get better than that! Let's see what happens when they reopen next year?

The Biltmore closure with their Wedding Chapel hurt us big. We had multiple weddings every week. They had the choice to hold the ceremony on Kings Beach. This year I can count on my hands the number of parties we've hosted. Internationals totally gone.

Called the 20 Mountain 220, the 220 mile race will summit 20 mountain peaks, gaining over 30,000 feet of elevation. All team members will finish the final leg together. It’s projected to be one of America’s most difficult endurance races, but for the racers it’s much more. #Tahoe
